We're expecting big things of the weather today. BIG, I tell you! It's all over the news. Wind gusts of 60MPH! Cyclones! Tornadoes! Thunderstorms! Locusts! Flying monkeys! Tanks! DTE is standing by!
I talked to Jon on my way to work, per usual, and he said their Menlo brethren in Aurora had already hidden under desks this morning to escape a tornado.
Or they went to the basement because there was a warning, which is probably what really happened, but not nearly as dramatic.
Still, Jon said he parked his car by the building today instead of the trees edging the parking lot. Just in case.
So, what does a mom do when armageddon is on its way? She puts coats on the kids and sends them to school, of course.
I think Otto has me outsmarted. I think he knows exactly how long to stay in bed so that he misses the bus and requires a ride to school.
Annabel was busy this morning pointing out pumpkins, baby pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, and baby jack-o-lanterns on display at the houses we passed.
And that? Is all. I've got to go now and watch the trees behind the building flail around.
