how I spent my winter vacation
Not to put too fine a point on it, I slept a lot over the holidays. Lounged around. Read. Slept some more. I did load after load of laundry, but I did not get the bathrooms clean or the closets organized or anything else useful like that.
For New Year's we traveled south to Indiana to hang out with friends who are more like family. Our kids spent a couple of days running around like little hoodlums (there was a lot of kids in underpants and that kind of thing), and before we left we made them sit together on the couch for photos. It's fun to watch them grow:
