Sometimes I have no choice but to believe that God intervenes.
I'd been here about 45 minutes this morning when Jen called up to tell me I had a visitor. So I trotted downstairs, and the visitor turns out to be a very nice recent library school graduate who's looking to do substitute work to gain experience. I had to bite my lip to keep from saying "sure, you want to help out in January, February, and March while I'm on maternity leave?"
I also had a great interview for the 2nd desk position and will call references for her as quickly as I can.
Now all we need is a house (hint hint, God!). Michel reminded me last night that it took her 3 months to find her house. I hate the idea of needing that much time, but it's better to keep looking than settle for something that's not going to work.
I also decided at some point yesterday that I need to relax and try to enjoy my pregnancy. All this other stuff will settle itself in time, but I'm already half-way through my pregnancy and have no doubt that the next 20 weeks will go just as quickly. So that's my goal for this weekend with my mom - go get immersed in all the baby schtuff, have a fun time, and start getting excited.
