We've had nearly 20 appointments to show the house since last Thursday. Julie (our realtor) said today that there's a second person thinking about making an offer. I guess that's a good thing - the sooner we get an offer, the sooner I can quit trying to hide various bits and pieces of my life. Like mail. Or magazines. My latest romance novel. Laundry. Ugh.
Jon's on his way home this evening. He said his meeting today was good, and that the Dayton plant is a nice bunch of guys. He sounded really happy on the phone - he was very talkative and energetic, so he must've had a good time. He's home from tonight until Sunday, when he goes back to Detroit. Monday he starts his job for real. I have 2 jobs to apply for, so that's good.
Jake spent yesterday and today at Badger Suites, sleeping on a sofa, playing with other daycare dogs, and generally have a high old time. He gets to be home tomorrow, though, and I think he's glad. The weather is awful and his back has been sore. It's kind of funny to have my work day dictated by the doggy day-care schedule. I have to leave by 4:15 to pick Jake up by 5.
Mom flies into O'Hare Sunday night - yay! It'll be fun to have her here. I wish I could take all week off. But she'll need a few days to recover and get back to a daytime schedule, and then we'll have a long weekend for Easter, so it'll all work out. She's having her hair cut and highlighted by our hair person, and we'll go see a few movies. I'll also take her to work on day so she can see the library. I think she'll be very wowed. I'm still wowed every day by something. We reopen Monday, and I think people are going to be gobsmacked. I guess we'll see...
